The RYA National Powerboat Scheme is for those wanting to drive small open powerboats such as RIBS (rigid inflatable boats), sport boats and small launches. These boats are generally powered by an outboard engine, do not normally have accommodation onboard and so they are not intended for extended courses. They may be used for short coastal or inland trips, fishing, safety cover for other watersports, waterskiing, or as a support boat for diving.
Powerboat training at Topper Sail Phuket is second to none, with an excellent range of hands-on courses to give you the confidence to handle powerboats on inland and tidal waters in diverse situations. All of our courses are run to the guidelines and recommendations of the national governing body.
So whether you are taking your first steps afloat or looking for advanced training for your club or work, we have a programme to suit all aims.
With our specialist powerboat trainers, state-of-the-art powerboats and excellent shore-side facilities, you won’t find a better place to train.
If your club or organisation is looking for tailor-made training, our Bookings Team will be happy to help.
