TSP START SAILING LEVEL 1 (2 days)
The aim of this two day course is to offer an enjoyable introduction to dinghy sailing where safety, fun and expert tuition are the key elements. At the end of this course students should have a basic understanding of sailing and background knowledge. . After completing Level 1 it is recommended that students attend the Level 2 course to consolidate skills learn and progress.

TSP BASIC SKILLS LEVEL 2 (2 days)
This two day course is designed as a follow-on for those who have recently completed a Level 1 course. At the end of the course students should have a basic understanding of sailing and be able to sail safely in light winds. This course would also be suitable for those whose sailing may be a 'little rusty' and need a refresher. The practical activities are supplemented by short onshore sessions.

SEAMANSHIP SKILLS
Sail independently, this course concentrates on traditional seamanship skills, requiring sound boat handling and introducing a wide variety of techniques to enhance safety afloat. Leaving and return to a mooring or beach, anchoring, reefing afloat, sailing backwards, sailing without a rudder and many more essential skills. This course will be using a range of dinghies including the Topaz Omega.

START RACING
Why not have a go at club racing? This course is the start line for getting into and enjoying club racing. Sailing clubs are friendly and sociable places full of nice people (well we would say that!) so why not get more out of your sailing and join up. We can help you understand what it is all about. SAILING WITH SPINNAKERS
Learn and practice the use of Spinnakers (Kites). This course will cover the use of asymmetric spinnakers. Rigging ashore, hoisting, setting, gibing and lowering the kite are all practiced in the Topaz Race X and the Topaz Omega.

INTRODUCTION TO DAYSAILING
Go cruising - passage planning and decision making for dinghy cruising. Get there AND back again with enough water to still stay afloat and get the boat back on to the trailer! In addition to participation in a one day local expedition the course will provide an introduction to basic chartwork, tides, pilotage, rules of the road, and its all here in a structured and enjoyable course programme.

PRACTICE SESSIONS (3 hours morning or afternoons)
For advanced sailors (not for beginners). These sessions provide an opportunity for sailors to practice skills learned during a recent course, prepare for the next, or just come along and have fun afloat for a few hours.
These are informal group sessions without an instructor in the boat. However, one of our team will always be on hand (usually in the safety boat) to give advice and guidance. Previous experience required is TSP Level 2 or NSSA Gold Award.
